How does the free trial work?

Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all features — reference tables, calculators, and AI-powered code Q&A. No credit card required to start.

What happens when my trial expires?

You'll still be able to sign in and access the blog, but reference tables and calculators will be locked until you subscribe. Your chat history and settings are preserved.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, cancel anytime from your Settings page. You'll keep access through the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees.

Which building codes are covered?

We cover 7 trades: Plumbing (IPC/UPC), Electrical (NEC), HVAC/Mechanical (IMC/UMC), Building (IBC), Fire Protection (IFC/NFPA), Residential (IRC), and Fuel Gas (IFGC/NFPA 54). All reference tables include jurisdiction-specific adoption notes.

Is the AI chat a replacement for the actual code book?

No. Trade Code Wizard is a reference and study tool. Always verify answers against the official adopted code in your jurisdiction. Our AI is trained on code content but should not be used as the sole basis for design or inspection decisions.

How do I change my trade or jurisdiction?

Use the trade picker in the sidebar (or bottom nav on mobile) to switch trades. Jurisdiction settings are in your Settings page.

Billing & Subscriptions

Subscriptions are managed through Stripe. To update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your plan, visit your Settings page and click "Manage Subscription."
